About the publication
Useful advice. Honest expectations.
Being Affiliate helps people understand affiliate marketing, develop valuable publishing skills, and build income without misleading their readers.
Our purpose
Affiliate marketing is simple to describe but difficult to do well. A publisher introduces a useful product or service, a reader makes an informed choice, and the publisher may receive a commission. Sustainable results, however, require research, clear writing, audience trust, and patient improvement.
Being Affiliate explains those skills in plain language. Our goal is to help beginners make thoughtful decisions before spending money or promoting anything.
Our editorial principles
Help the reader first
A commission should never be more important than a reader’s decision. Recommendations should explain who a product is for, who should avoid it, and what alternatives deserve consideration.
Show the work
Good affiliate content distinguishes experience, evidence, opinion, and uncertainty. We aim to explain the reasoning behind advice rather than present conclusions as universal rules.
Reject unrealistic promises
Income varies by topic, audience, execution, competition, and time. We do not promise overnight results or describe exceptional outcomes as typical.
Disclose commercial relationships
When affiliate links are introduced, relevant content will carry a clear disclosure. Commercial relationships will not buy favorable editorial conclusions.
